One of the oldest diamond factories in Amsterdam, Coster was founded in 1840. In 1852, Prince Albert, queens Victoria's consort, honored the company by giving them the task of repolishing the enormous Koh-i-Noor diamond, which is one of treasures of the British crown jewels.

Nowadays, thousands visitors come to see Coster Diamonds craftsmen at work every day. Free-guided tours are available in more than 25 languages, the process of cutting and polishing a diamond is explained in detail. After the tour, visitors have the opportunity to browse around in the spacious showrooms.

For diamond-buyers, such as the jewelers who come to Amsterdam from all over the world, there is a series of private sales rooms where discretion is assured.
