Cafe Toussaint in Amsterdam
If you like variety, romance and reasonable prices, Cafe Toussaint is a good choice.
Their menu presents daily dishes and special treats on large chalkboards that are brought to your tableside when asked about the choices. With a vegetarian view, a homemade touch, and a healthy portion, you can find a delicious lunch or dinner sitting before you for a very decent price.
There are a few things to keep in mind while visiting this fine establishment though. The door displays a sign as a first reminder that cell phones are not welcome. Which actually makes for an increasingly more 'gezellig' surrounding. A soft red curtain to enter through, lit candles, wooden decor and a lovely splash of color coming from a large painting on the back wall, soothes the soul and welcomes a fine time ahead.
Its location compliments the experience as well. About a block away on either side are tramlines, grocery stores and more clubs, but down the Bosboom Touss there is momentary rest and a great break time awaiting you.
Open daily 10:00 to 24:00 but Fridays and Saturdays until 01.00.
