Dwaze Zaken kunst eetcafe in Amsterdam
Going on its second year, Dwaze Zaken is blossoming into an altogether pleasant break place. As you step inside you find yourself facing personally designed and decorated art deco walls. Turning about you will discover an exhibit of artwork from either a local or international artist. From there it’s your choosing of the seating arrangement. Sofas, barstools, cushioned chairs and the traditional table all call your name. And if the main lounge isn’t impressive enough, use the toilet! You can rest assured you’ll only be adding to your appreciation of art.
They don’t stop there though. With comparably priced items the menu offers both healthy and artistically prepared foods and drinks. From hot to cold, you’ll be well satisfied. If you are lucky enough to enjoy a dinner there, you will also have a specially crafted meal as one of your options. Interestingly enough their wait-staff includes the very people who helped create it all, as well as volunteers. All of whom you can catch serving with a smile.
To top it off, this café is a great resource for all types of artists and musicians. A range of talent is welcomed to either display or perform their personal expressions. There are even film discussion nights!
With a hope to both inspire the onlooker and encourage the creator, this café brings a new light to the city of Amsterdam.
Open Tuesday to Saturday 12.00-24.00 and Sunday 12.00-18.00.
